Am I turning into George Costanza?
I live in a large apartment building with a big wall of mailboxes and a big trash can for unwanted mail for those who don't recycle. Yesterday, I checked the mail, and sitting on top of the trash can was an issue of The New Yorker and an issue of Elle Decor. They were on top of the can, not in it, not sitting near the top but technically below the brim, but ON TOP. Anyway, they aren't there anymore, they are now on my bedside table. Is that gross or just environmentally conscious since I'm reusing and I'll recycle them when I'm done?

i just really love the idea of you as George Costanza. so freaking brilliant Ans.
I think you're ok as long as you don't try to ingest the magazines, George :-)
And yes, way to save the trees.
I think you're fine as long as it wasn't sitting on anything food-related or slimy. If it was just on a bunch of other papers, there's nothing wrong about that. If it's smeared in a George Costanza eclair, then that's gross.
Excellent! I probably would have done it too. No, I definitely would have done it too. Can't let the New Yorker go to waste. It just isn't right.
I take (good) free magazines whenever and wherever I can:) I totally would have done it.
